Hot Take: Dark Knight Rises is worse than Batman and Robin At least, B&R was short and amusingly stupid and knew what it was. DKR, was long, boring, bloated and didn't know what it wanted to be or at least didnt know how to end admidst having a rushed release date. Its hilarious how in Batman films, Nolan made the most mid(BB), the best (TDK) and subjectively the worst (DKR) all in the whole trilogy.

My problem with Episode 4 is that this is something I would have LOVED to have seen in CGI, and to have been treated with more grace. Iblis is literally dying to get a Michael Bay style CGI monstrosity treatment, and watching that fight between him and Knuckles could have genuinely been great. Episode 4 wasn't the worst in my opinion (I despised the last 2 even more), but it absolutely made me realise just how much I was missing.

Probably what I dislike the most about this movie (don’t get me wrong I love this film) is the "it’s great to have friends" bit. Yes, it establishes how naive rocket and his friends are. However it totally ruins the shock value of Lyla’s death. When she says "it’s good to have friends" you KNOW she is going to die. It serves as an obvious warning that makes her getting shot much less impactful. It also just felt cheesy to me and not all that important. The reason they keep saying it is to build up to her death but the forced repetition of a phrase like that makes the whole scene feel far less organic.

Eternals was one of the worst movies I have ever seen ever. It was atrocious.

I'm excited for this years show ranking. Some exciting stuff coming later this year like hotd and the boys in addition to the things we've already got like fallout. If there's one thing I can't recommend enough it's hilda on netflix, season 3 dropped not too long ago and it was all sooo good
